SETTING : 50 million dollar manufacturing facility putting laundry detergent, shampoo and soap in bottles.
PROBLEM : The people on the maintenance teams needed to keep everything running don't like each other. Not good.
QUESTION : Why don't they like each other? They are together more than they are with their families. They fight the same fights together.
SOLUTION(s) : (1) Everyone gets respected, no matter what, (2) Accountability is direct and consistent, even if it is difficult, (3) No one can be talked about unless they are present for the conversation
EASIER-SAID-THAN-DONE : Solution (2) is likely to be complicated and cause it's own issues. Just do it anyway.
